The pills, which all contain the ingredient valproate sodium, already carry a boxed warning about the risk of birth defects. But the FDA said it is adding new warnings to the drugs after a study showed they decreased IQ scores in children whose mothers took them while pregnant.

Mellisa Strom McJunkin‘s insight:

Let’s just be clear. ALL drugs have major RISKS. Yes, some may be necessary. But let’s not harm unborn children in the process.

Thank goodness the FDA is finally releasing some much needed information to the general public. The bad news is obviously several children have been harmed in order for them to come up with this conclusion

But the good news is there are natural alternatives to migraine headache sufferers. Even for those that are pregant.

All natural substances are more safe and effective for treating the brain and nervous system.

Empowerplus Q96 in particular has been used my many pregnant women and in fact, because it nourishes the brain of the mother and the unborn child, it seems the children’s IQ may have actually been enhanced because of it.
